Professor Martins Akindele Adetoye
Head of Department
Professor Martins Akindele Adetoye is the current and Pioneer Head of Department of Peace and Security Studies. He is a Professor of Political Science. He attended Mount Carmel College, Ilorin from 1973 – 1978. He proceeded to the Polytechnic, Ibadan in 1979 for G.C.E. ‘A’ Level and University of Cambridge Advance Level. Professor Adetoye holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Political Science from University of Ibadan, M.Sc. International Relations from University of Ife now Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife and a Ph.D in Political Science from the University of Ibadan.
Professor Adetoye joined the services of Ondo State University, (now Ekiti State University) in 1997 as an Assistant Lecturer and became a professor in 2016. Professor Adetoye is a member of many Professional Bodies and Associations. He is an External Examiner and Assessor to several Universities.
